Atlantic City's chief mode of transportation is the jitney—serving Atlantic City continuously since 1915. Thirteen passenger jitneys serve the city and move the entire length of Pacific Avenue, parallel to Atlantic City's world famous Boardwalk, to the Marina District and to the Convention Center.
