H5N1: A Special Report–What Is the Threat and Why Should the Environmental Health Profession Be Concerned?
NEHA featured in its January/February issue of the Journal of Environmental Health, a special report on bird flu and how this issue could impact the environmental health profession. Written by NEHA Executive Director Nelson Fabian, the article presents a broad overview of avian flu with the intent to provide a deeper understanding of what the issue is all about and why it is of significant concern to the public and environmental health community. The presentation – which ranks as the longest single article ever published in our Journal – represents the combination of a speech, editorial, and research effort. NEHA is pleased to present the first couple of pages of this unique article here on our Web site. The entire article is available to all NEHA members in the January/February Journal of Environmental Health. It is also available to anyone who is interested for only $5.00.
