ABOUT THE POSITION/DEPARTMENT:
Enjoy working in the Family Entertainment Capital of the U.S., Branson, Missouri.
Work is technical in nature and is designed to ensure that contractors and/or other regulated businesses are complying with applicable Federal and State Laws and local ordinances. Work under supervision of the Environmental Health Specialist Supervisor and Environmental Health Section Manager.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Inspection of Retail Food Establishments, Lodging Establishments, Day Care Facilities, Swimming Pools, Temporary Events, and any other inspections that may be necessary.
Investigation of sewage complaints, animal bites, and nuisance complaints of licensed facilities within Taney County.
Conduct plan reviews, Perform general office work and type reports or general correspondence as required.
Collect and test Water samples, collect food samples as required and investigate reports of foodborne illnesses.
Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 30 semester hours of science. Will accept applications with NEHA Certified Environmental Health Technician Certification.
Valid driver license. Must take and pass the Missouri Certification Exam or the NEHA exam within two (2) years of employment.
