ABOUT THE POSITION/DEPARTMENT:
Project Management for assessment and remediation sites in South
Florida for petroleum hydrocarbon, metals, and solvent contamination in
the groundwater and soil which includes:

Oversight for installation
of air sparge/soil vapor extraction remediation systems;
-
Preparation of scope of work
requisitions for subcontractors, review of the submitted proposals, and
direction of the subcontractors;
-
Management and guidance of
junior staff in the field and office to prepare work product in
accordance with regulations and company requirements;
-
and Oversight for the
implementation of ground penetrating radar and interpretation of data
for the detection of buried utilities.

Perform financial reviews of
project performance and attend regular financial performance review meetings
to present managers on performance.

Perform contamination assessment for
petroleum hydrocarbons present in the soil and groundwater on multiple
sites/locations/projects throughout South Florida.
Plus additional duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in
Environmental Sciences, Resource or Environmental Economics, or a related
area plus five years experience in the job offered or in any position
responsible for soil and groundwater investigations and remediation and
waste transportation requirements in accordance with the Federal laws and
the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Experience must
include: use and calibration of Photo Ionization and Flame Ionization
detectors for soil analysis in the field; use and calibration of groundwater
sampling meters for turbidity, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH, and
temperature to ensure quality assurance and quality control for the project;
laboratory analytical report interpretation and quality assurance review of
the laboratory report; and current forty-hour HAZWOPER course certification. Will also accept a
Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Resource or Environmental
Economics, or related area plus demonstrated ability to: (1) Perform soil
and groundwater investigations and remediation and waste transportation
requirements in accordance with the Federal laws and the State of Florida
Department of Environmental Protection; (2) Use and calibration of Photo

(3) Use and calibration of groundwater sampling meters for turbidity,
dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH, and temperature to ensure quality
assurance and quality control for the project; and (4) Perform laboratory
