ABOUT THE POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and the Environmental Health Supervisor of the Central District Health Department, conduct routine inspections, investigate complaints, and enforce city, county and state ordinances and laws dealing with environmental health and safety.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree which includes an algebra course or higher level math and
30 semesters hours/45 quarter hours in basic sciences, i.e. courses in
biology, chemistry, physics or other physical sciences. Possession of, or
ability to obtain and maintain registration as an Environmental Health
Specialist in the State of Nebraska after eligibility requirements are met.
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid NE drivers license also required.
