Environmental Health Officer III
ABOUT THE POSITION The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation seeks an energetic and proactive Environmental Health professional with experience in seafood and/or retail food programs. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision and implementation of a comprehensive food safety and sanitation program relative to food establishments, public facilities, and seafood processors located in Juneau and Southeastern Alaska. The incumbent performs the full range of professional level environmental health duties including: • Planning and conducting inspections, • Writing inspection reports, • Performing investigations, • Issuing permits, • Providing technical or educational assistance, and • Initiating enforcement and compliance actions.
