ABOUT THE POSITION
The Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Managing Director for Washington State Association of Local Public Health Officials (WSALPHO).

WSALPHO is a non-profit organization that brings together the leadership of local health departments. The Association creates a constructive and collegial environment needed to advance the broad interests of public health. The Mission of public health is to improve health status through the promotion of health and the prevention of and the protection from injury and disease.  The incumbent will provide overall leadership for the successful operation of WSALPHO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides overall leadership for the successful operation of WSALPHO

  • Communicates effectively with the WSALPHO Chair, WSAC Deputy Director, key partners, partner agencies, and other local public health organizations both statewide and nationally

  • Advises WSAC on public health issues

  • Participates in various legislative activities (bill analysis, lobbying, ensure state agencies understand local public health needs)
