Fluent in Spanish to include reading, writing, and speaking; Current Arizona Registered Sanitarian certification, or current Registered Sanitarian/Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Professional certification in a state for which Arizona grants reciprocity and a Bachelor of Science Degree with 30 semester hours of coursework in the natural sciences or related area. Candidates must also have a demonstrated track record of at least one (1) year in conducting inspections specifically in food service establishments. Environmental Health Specialist Spanish Liaison will conduct inspections focused on food service establishments to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the citizens of Maricopa County. In addition the successful candidate will provide Spanish language support to the Department. This may include but not be limited to written translation of technical documents and oral translation for permit holders.
