Reducing Asthma and Allergy Triggers in Child Care Environments

With the prevalence of asthma among young children, child care providers' role in managing asthma is increasingly important. University of Missouri Extension identified the need for asthma education, conducted workshops to fill this gap, and assessed the workshops' effectiveness. This presentation will provide attendees with best practices for asthma education that improves child care workers' knowledge of asthma triggers, control strategies to reduce the triggers, and drives behavior changes to create an asthma-friendly environment.
