Webinar: STEM Education and Environmental Health
Wednesday, July 26
1:00-2:30 p.m. EDT
Through the Partnerships for Environmental Public Health program, the importance of environmental health literacy has been discussed, which has strong ties to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education. Teachers today, however, face many demands and have limited time and tools for introducing new concepts such as environmental health. This webinar will highlight different approaches to working with teachers to engage students on environmental health topics. Two presentations will focus on hands-on tools and resources that teachers can use in the classroom, and the third presentation will describe the value and impact of workshops that strengthen teacher capacity to address environmental health with their students.
