Matt Jenkins currently works within the U.S. Restaurant Food Safety team at McDonalds where he has been for the last 2 years. He has over 17 years of experience in the quality assurance and food safety field, spending the majority of this time within the foodservice industry. In his current position, he serves as a brand protector by helping to create, integrate, implement and maintain an end-to-end food safety philosophy that ensures that only high quality and safe food is served to all McDonald’s customers. Prior to joining McDonald’s Matt worked at Potbelly Sandwich Works, Sodexo, National Sanitation Foundation and the DuPage County Health Department.  A graduate of the University of Illinois with both a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Master of Public Health.  He holds the following credentials: Certified Professional - Food Safety (CP-FS), Registered Environmental Health Specialist/ Registered Sanitarian (REHS/RS), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certified Manager and Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI).
