Building Upon Our Role in Emergency Response

As we move into a new year and a new phase of the pandemic, it is important that environmental health’s role in emergency response is acknowledged. Furthermore, we need to use this momentum so that recognition is not lost. In this month’s column, President Long explores what environmental health needs to do to be an active part of emergency preparedness and response at all levels of government.
