After careful deliberation and consideration, the NEHA Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the NEHA 2020 AEC, scheduled for July 13–16 in New York City, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We prioritize the health of our members, attendees, partners, presenters, contractors, students, and staff over all other concerns.

Registration Refund Details

All NEHA 2020 AEC conference registrations, preconference workshop registrations and special event registrations will automatically be refunded according to the schedule below. Full registration refunds will be made based on when NEHA received the most recent payment. Once your registration cancellation is processed, you will receive confirmation via e-mail. You do not need to contact NEHA to initiate the refund process.

  • If your most recent payment to us was received before December 31, 2019, you will be refunded by April 30, 2020.
  • If your most recent payment to us was received between January 1 - February 29, 2020, you will be refunded by May 31, 2020.
  • If your most recent payment to us was received between March 1 - April 30, 2020, you will be refunded by June 30, 2020.
  • If your registration payment was made via credit card, the refund will be returned to that same credit card.
  • If your registration payment was made via check, the refund will be returned with a check mailed to the main address listed on your MyNEHA account.
  • If your registration payment was not yet submitted and you have an open invoice on your account, this invoice will be canceled and removed from your account.
  • If your registration payment was made by your employer, the refund will be made directly to your employer.
  • If you would like to transfer your NEHA 2020 AEC registration fee to NEHA 2021 AEC in Spokane, WA or donate your registration fee to the NEHA general fund to assist NEHA in offsetting the significant cost of canceling the conference, please email Staff@neha.org.
  • If you purchased a membership with your registration, you will be contacted by our Membership Department about processing your refund. We would like you to consider retaining your membership to support the operations of our organization.
  • If you made a donation to NEHA with your registration, thank you.  A letter has already been provided to you as a tax receipt, so your donation will not be refunded.
