NEHA Proudly Commemorates Children’s Environmental Health Day 2019

Recognizing the urgent need to place children and families at the center of environmental health.

NEHA is proud to join Children’s Environmental Health Network in celebrating Children's Environmental Health Day on October 10, 2019.

The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) is thrilled to join the Children’s Environmental Health Network (CEHN) in declaring October 10, 2019, as Children’s Environmental Health (CEH) Day.

On this day, we urge all environmental health professionals to consider how they can prioritize children in their practices. Children are the heaviest bearers of environmental threats, facing lifelong diseases and developmental disabilities due to early childhood exposures. They struggle with increased rates of asthma due to air pollution and learning difficulties from childhood lead exposure in their water supplies or homes.
