Environmental health professionals are key members of the multidisciplinary foodborne illness outbreak investigation team. The Environmental Assessment Training Portal and the Certificate Training Program was developed in collaboration with NEHA, the Colorado Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence and the Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center. This project was funded by the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Training (NCCPHT) at the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) through a cooperative agreement with the Environmental Health Services Branch (EHSB) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This project was directed by a multidisciplinary, multi-agency advisory council.
