Private Water Safety Virtual Conference
October 16-17, 2018
The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) held its very first Private Water Safety Conference on October 16 – 17, 2018. The Private Water Safety (PWS) Virtual Conference was designed to enhance the knowledge of environmental public health professionals and water safety specialists to help close the water quality gap in unregulated private drinking water. Professionals that engage with private drinking water systems were requested to present existing and new resources, innovative solutions, and successful programs in unregulated water quality. This conference provided an opportunity to water safety professionals and environmental public health practitioners to come together in a unique virtual environment to exchange information and discover new solutions.
The Private Water Safety Virtual Conference offered several presentations in the following tracks:
- Challenges and opportunities for private drinking water systems
- Emerging contaminants (lead, arsenic, pharmaceuticals, etc.)
- Innovation in outreach and education regarding private water safety
- Effective partnerships for improving private water quality
The conference included the following:
- Presentations on private drinking water quality
- Resources, tools, and best practices from local, state, and federal programs
- Pre-approved NEHA CE credits
New to Virtual Conferences?
Much more than a single webinar, a virtual event creates an experience inside an online environment of rooms and spaces, similar to a physical convention center or corporate campus. Attendees visit different locations and participate in a range of activities: recorded keynotes and presentations, exhibitor booths, live 1:1 chat and social networking, collaboration and much more. The full virtual conference, including recorded presentations and exhibitor booths, will be accessible 24/7 both days of the event, although there will be live sessions both days to ask presenters and exhibitors questions.
Thanks to the following promotional partners who exhibited at the Virtual Conference:
