Media and Workforce Development Specialist

About the Position

Position Overview

The Media and Workforce Development Specialist creates digital assets for NEHA’s Learning Management System (LMS) using an array of authoring tools including Lectora Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite. This position will also shoot high-quality video and photographs for training/educational materials and NEHA events. Intermittent work on nights and weekends may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create audiovisual materials, including animations, audios, and e-books – 20%
  • Shoot and edit high-quality video and photographs for use as training/educational media – 30%
  • Create interactive e-learning content using authoring tools (i.e., Lectora or Captivate) compatible with SCORM 1.2 for NEHA’s Moodle Learning Management System – 50%

Qualifications

Essential Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, instructional design, or other related field (i.e., media production, education, etc.)
  • Minimum one-year experience with e-learning authoring tools
  • Professional/academic videography/video production and photography experience
  • Practices and principles related to editing and producing e-learning content, including training/educational media production

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrable capability using the following applications: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Lectora Publisher
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excel in collaborative culture
  • Responsive to constructive critical feedback

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs. or less
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment
  • Ability to read required reports and computer screen
  • Hearing required to interact with management and associates
