NEHA Board of Directors Call for Nominations
Accepting Nominations for the Upcoming NEHA 2021 Election!
There are four NEHA board positions up for election in 2021: Regions 2, 3, and 8 vice-president positions and one national officer position (second vice-president).
Regional vice-presidents (RVPs) are members of the NEHA Board of Directors and Affiliate Council. This important leadership role represents NEHA and its members residing in their region and serves as an expert on the state of the environmental health profession. RVPs serve a 3-year term and the elected individual will assume the position immediately following the close of the NEHA 2021 Annual Educational Conference (AEC) & Exhibition Three-Part Virtual Series and will serve through 2024.
The second vice-president is an officer on the NEHA Board of Directors and a member of the Affiliate Council. This national officer position typically chairs one of the board committees and moves in succession from second vice-president to first vice-president, president-elect, president, and finally to immediate past-president over their 5-year term. The elected individual will assume the position of second vice-president immediately following the close of the 2021 AEC Virtual Series and will serve as NEHA president in 2024–2025.
We seek diversity on the board in terms of gender, ethnicity, and a balance between regulatory, academia, and industry professionals. Deadline to submit a nomination is December 1.
