NEHA Presidents

The first president of NEHA (then called the National Association of Sanitarians) was Herbert A. Jewett, who was appointed to this position in 1937. Since that time, NEHA has had 86 presidents. Diane Eastman was the first woman to serve as NEHA president from 1987–1988. The NEHA president serves 5 years as a national officer, serving 1-year terms in each officer position (second vice-president, first vice-president, president-elect, president, and immediate past-president).
