About the Position

The Information Technology (IT) Manager’s role is assisting the Director, IT in supporting the technology needs of the Association. This includes internal support of the staff, in person and remotely, and supporting all the externally facing systems that our members and customers utilize daily to do their jobs.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead IT projects to their successful completion.  Serve as liaison with vendors on those projects
  • Provides department oversight and support in the IT Director’s absence. 
  • Provide general IT support for staff.
  • Supports the IT Director to research and recommend opportunities to adopt new technologies, hardware, data, and processes.
  • Analyzes the potential impact of implementing new technologies into the IT infrastructure.
  • Participates in the life cycle planning of existing IT assets.
  • Ensures that new projects and migrations are in alignment with the IT capital budget, project portfolio, and IT strategic goals. Analyzes the impact of exceptions and its effect on future IT and enterprise goals.
  • Assist IT Director in developing a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan.
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of IT related policies and procedures. 
  • Manage ongoing maintenance of NEHA websites and cloud services.
  • Develop inclusive virtual meetings for staff, board, and partners.
  • Develop and conduct IT trainings for both department and non-department staff. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Support or Manager role including infrastructure engineering/designing experience and supporting department leadership by recommending and developing infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Project management experience and skills.
  • Technical competence in multiple areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Microsoft 365 cloud services
    • Google Workspace cloud services
    • Azure, AWS, or other IaaS cloud services
    • IIS / Apache / MySQL / PHP
    • CMSs including WordPress and Drupal
    • Finance systems including NetSuite, 
    • Database Management
    • Web Development
    • API Development

What We Offer

The annual salary range for the position is $75,000-85,000 and dependent on job-related experience and qualifications.
