Environmental Health Supervisor
About the Position
The Supervisor provides first-level direct supervision for a designated group of employees within the Environmental Health (EH) program. This role ensures compliance with EH laws, rules, and regulations as stipulated by the Douglas County Health Department and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). This role has day-to-day supervisory accountabilities for assigned positions, employees, and program operational activities.
Generally, the hiring range is $69,535-$86,919 annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.

Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in environmental health, public health, public administration, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Requires five years’ progressive experience in environmental health performing technical tasks in the investigation of environmental health conditions.
At least one year as a supervisor or program coordinator.
A combination of experience and education may be considered (one year of environmental health experience may be granted for a master’s degree in a related field).
