About the Position

The City of Minneapolis is seeking a highly skilled, accomplished leader to be its next Health Commissioner.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess at minimum a master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related health field, and a minimum of ten (10) years related professional experience managing a large multi-service organization with a health focus. Experience working with a municipal government organization is desired, but not required. Experience leading teams is required, and managing public health response, programs, and related initiatives, including physical and mental health, food safety security and systems, drug addiction treatment and prevention, and responding to the Covid-19 pandemic are highly desired.
