The Generational Bridge

In this month's column, NEHA's president focuses on an often overlooked, but important, generation in our profession—Generation X. While providing background on this generation, which is sandwiched between two larger generations (i.e., baby boomers and Millennials), a case is made that we need to invest in this subset of our profession to foster their growth as leaders for now and the future. Furthermore, workplaces need to address and take advantage of the differences in generational mindsets, values, and expectations to be successful and productive.
