In his first column, NEHA's new president introduces himself to the membership and provides a sneak peek at some of the issues he has in mind for future columns. From working on the Smallpox Eradication Program with the U.S. Peace Corps and World Health Organization to working at local environmental health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Radke's work has spanned almost five decades. Future columns will be dedicated to professional relationships, data and data analysis, the impact of climate change on our profession and communities, food safety, vector control, and other topics.
