Education and training for our members includes traditional formats such as journals and books, as well as videos, on-demand webinars, and downloadable e-books. Just in Time Video Series
The NEHA Just in Time Video Series offers a diverse collection of informative and digestible short videos to be used as a resource to support acceptable operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The training catalog offers guidelines and best practices for specific food safety topics and various environmental health situations that may present themselves during this unprecedented time. Each individual training within the series offers a clear and concise overview of a topic and provides guidance for acceptable, safe, alternative operations.
National Retail Food Program Courses
The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) and the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) are working with the FDA's Office of Regulatory Affairs' Office of Training Education and Development (OTED) to provide free training to state, local and tribal regulatory partners.
Food Safety Online Training Resources
NEHA carries online food safety training resources for the food safety professional at all levels of their career. The online courses are appropriate for both industry and regulatory professionals.
Environmental Health Leadership Academy
NEHA, with funding support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has developed a new leadership training academy for environmental health (EH) professionals. NEHA is looking to invite a cohort of 16 EH professionals to participate in the Environmental Health Leadership Academy. This will be a twelve-month program commencing at the third series of NEHA’s 2021 Virtual Annual Educational Conference (AEC) and concluding at the 2022 AEC. This intensive, interactive program focuses on management and leadership skill-building, successful leadership strategies, community partnership, emergency management, and other tools to better prepare the EH leaders of tomorrow.
