Building Programs Through Student Internships
Utilizing student internships can be beneficial for both the student and the employer. For the student, it provides an opportunity to get real-world experience and a chance to apply their newly acquired knowledge. For the employer, students can bring fresh perspectives and new ideas to programs.Starting an internship program, and bringing students into your organization, can be a daunting task. Working with CDC Tracking and Tracking Grantees, we have developed resources to assist in creating successful student internships. While these resources are based on state tracking programs, the information provided can be used by any state or local health department to start or improve student internship programs.
