We surveyed past Environmental Health Leadership Academy (EHLA) participants about their experiences with this one-of-a-kind program. See what participants are saying about their experiences with the ELHA.

100% of the respondents indicated they would recommend the EHLA to others.
All the respondents (100%) felt the duration of the EHLA was just right.
Participants rated the modules as excellent (60%), very good (36%), or good (5%). Additionally, there was a significant increase in perceived competence related to skills and knowledge after each EHLA module.
All the respondents agreed or strongly agreed that their mentor challenged them to extend their abilities and provided honest feedback about their career development.
All the mentors rated their experience as excellent (75%) or very good (25%).

Our participants have expressed that there is not another program like the EHLA available in the field and that the quality of the program was "phenomenal." Participants have shared that they felt the information, materials, mentors, and modules were relevant and provided exceptional learning opportunities that boosted many in their careers.

"I see the Leadership Academy's value as both immediate and long-term. Each module presented topical information that I found pertinent and informative to my role at our health department. We received a wealth of thought-provoking information during, and additional resources after, each module that we can refer back to as needed. As the months went by, our cohort—from all over the country—grew to become a cohesive unit, especially once we met at the AEC. We are now, each of us, an additional resource for each other."
