About the Cover

This issue features a two-part series on the Zika virus. The first part, “The Zika Virus Threat and Prevention Challenges” explores an all-hazards and One Health approach to pandemic and global epidemic prevention and mitigation. The second part, “Public Health Professional Perspectives on Zika Preparedness” provides responses of environmental health professionals from a survey on the Zika virus and infectious disease. The cover for this issue uses a word cloud to highlight the topics of the two-part series as the background for the primary mosquito reservoir of the Zika virus (Aedes mosquitoes) and a detailed image of the Zika virus.
